Dear Carolyn,

I wanted to send you a quick message to thank you for everything that you
did for us. It is very obvious that you care deeply about what you do and
the people that stay in your cabins. The extra attention to details and the
care taken to help coordinate our trip was greatly appreciated!

I wish I could have thanked you personally. It was a pleasure to meet you
and I will try to keep in touch. I promise you that when we come back to
the Galena area, there is no other place that we would even consider
staying. We will remember our trip always.

No one in our area knows more about the history and construction of log homes than do Terry and Carolyn. They have dismantled, moved, reconstructed and repaired many of these structures. Their current effort is a highly appropriate example of a pioneer Illinois farmstead and they are restoring it on site in a beautiful setting where all of the original character and ambiance can be captured and conveyed to the traveling public.

     Visitors to this part of Illinois will be able to stay and enjoy an experience that will be unique to most of the traveling public. I have no doubt that this project will increase the likelihood that visitors will not only come, but will spend the night at this unique lodging site.

We just would like to take the time to thank you very much for helping to make our special weekend even more special by you thoughtfulness. The cabin was so perfect! And your call to the restaurant was very nis - it resulted in a wonderful toast with a glass of champagne (we had already eaten dessert). We can't wait to get back up to the cabin.
